Our Resources program has been created with the goal to offer valuable content to our PolyTripper users, both students and teachers. At present, resources must be related to language learning and can be in the form of a PDF file or in video file. The target audience may be students or teachers. The resource program is by invitation only. PolyTripper decides who can participate and can also at any time decide to remove a member from the program. We want this prorgram to be a fun and high quality addition to our PolyTripper website.
This page has an informal summary of our Resource program. Full details can be found on our Terms of Service page.
To be able to offer valuable content to our PolyTripper users, we expect the resources to be of high quality. PolyTripper has the right to reject a resource if we do not feel the quality meets our standards.
It is extremely important that the contents of your resource be your own original work. You may not use any copyrighted materials in your resource. This means
that you may not copy any text verbatim from online websites, books or other sources. You may also not use any copyrighted music as background music for your video or include
copyrighted images in your PDF file. You may also not use substantial, unchanged portions of non-copyrighted sources verbatim. We cannot stress the importance of this rule enough.
Resources are subject to a review process by the PolyTripper staff, who have limited bandwidth. As such, if you cannot demonstrate to us that you have a grasp of what the
concept of "original work" is, or else if you violate this rule, we may choose to revoke your resource submission privileges. Full details can be found in our Terms of Service.
To display the resource on our website, you need to provide us with a square image, which is at least 400x400 pixels. This image will be used on the Resource search page, in your teacher profile, on the individual resource details page and on the page that shows which resources the user has purchased. This image can be a simple screenshot of your PDF file or video, a photo that you have taken yourself or a non-copyrighted image you have found online. Some sources of public domain images are: pixabay, UnSplash, skitterphoto, gratisography, SplitShire, PicOGraphy, StockSnap, stokpic and pexels.
The creator of the resource can decide which price to charge, which can be anywhere between $0 and $100. There is also an option to provide a lower price for students who have taken one or more lessons with you (note: a trial lesson doesn't count). This lower price goes into effect after at least one completed lesson. 95% of the resource price will go to the resource creator in the form of Teacher Credits and 5% will go to PolyTripper, less any payment provider fees (see Terms of Service).
After purchasing a resource, the purchaser (who must be a valid PolyTripper user) can write a review and give a rating between one and five stars. The review will show on the resource details page and the rating will show on the resource details page, the resources search page and your teacher profile. Each review will be checked by PolyTripper before it is either approved or denied.
After your resource has been submitted and approved, you are able to make small changes to it, like correcting spelling mistakes, correcting a grammar rule, changing the image or anything of this nature. If the resource has not been purchased by anyone yet, all change requests will be honored. If the resource has been purchased, only minimal change requests (correction of errors, etc.) will be considered. All change requests go through our normal review process and are subject to the normal review criteria (high-quality submission, original work). After the changes have been approved and in case they are significant enough, PolyTripper can send a message to everyone who has purchased the resource to let them know there is an updated version they can download, without extra charge.
Further details can be found in our Terms of Service (in English).
